Sunsets and South Carolina

I'm headed off to South Carolina this week to look for houses and probably won't have much time to get on here. So I leave you with this image:

I shot this the other day while up at Charlotte Beach with some friends. It was an awesome night and the colors in the sunset were stunning.

After waiting another 10 minutes my shutter speed dropped enough that Lake Ontario took on a smooth look to it. Pretty cool stuff!

Alright have a great week! I have a TON of stuff to post when I get back!

Graduation!!

After many years of late nights, ridiculous tests, tedious presentations, design projects, 30+ page homeworks, and more calculus problems than you can imagine, I'm graduating today! That's right! No more school! EVER!

I'll be graduating from RIT with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in automotive applications, along with my Masters of Engineering Degree with a concentration in Business. Gotta love those dual degree programs! They aren't much fun when your going through them, but let me tell you, once your done its a great feeling. This wasn't my first time in a dual degree program either! Last year I completed my BS in Physics from Roberts Weslyan College as a part of a Dual Degree program with RIT. Wow my head is spinning just explaining this. Regardless, after 235 credit hours of classes I'm finally done; Ready to move to a new state, relocate my photography business, start a real engineering job, buy a house, and start a new life!

There is no way I could have done this without the help of God, my loving and supportive parents, sweet girlfriend, awesome friends, teachers, counselors, former employers, or extended family. Thank you all!!

Woohooo! I'm finally done!!!!

Amy and Dave are Married!

These guys are awesome! I known this for a long time though. After shooting their snowy engagement session back last year, I knew these guys would be a ton of fun to work with.

The day all started with everyone getting ready and heading off to the Blessed Sacrament Church downtown. After an awesome ceremony, we headed out to attempt something I've never tried before... try to capture EVERYONE in one picture. I was really surpised by how well it went! I guess everyone really does listen to the bride, especially one as beautiful as Amy.

Soon, everyone went over to the beautiful Genessee Valley Club for some reception fun. After a few more portraits everyone was ready for some food, drinks, and dancing. What a fun night! Thanks guys! Enjoy the pictures!

Watkins Glen Gorge Pictures

Yesterday I had the awesome privilege of visiting Watkins Glen State Park with some of my best friends. Last time I was there I was just getting into photography, trying to do my best with a 4mp Kodak DX7440. Needless to say, I was really excited to use my new skills and equipment out on one of the most beautiful state parks in the country. I do have to say, I'm pretty happy with how the images turned out. I'll definitely be printing some of these really big to hang on my wall.

We walked the entire Watkins Glen Gorge trail, stopping every few feet to capture the stunning landscapes. Thankfully my friends are also into photography so they didn't get too irritated!

Watkins Glen is covered with waterfalls, beautiful stone work, caves, and some great plant life.
