Westin Poinsett Wedding | Katie and Jerry

I'm always honored when someone asks me to shoot their wedding. I'm completely blown away when people actually move their wedding date so they can have me as their photographer, like Katie and Jerry did. And I'm super glad that they did, because their Westin Poinsett wedding was hands down one of the best wedding's I've been to in a long time.

Katie and Jerry held their wedding ceremony at the stunning Cliffs at Glassy Chapel with their reception following at the Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville. Planning most of the wedding from New York City probably wasn't the easiest thing, but they did pick one of the best planners I know of to help with the process (Kim Wehunt, who did my wedding!). And it showed. Not only were the details and settings absolutely gorgeous, but Katie and Jerry handmade all their invites, RSVP cards, ceremony programs, and place cards to match their 20's theme. Best of all was Katie and Jerry themselves. I've shot a lot of weddings, but these guys were some of the coolest/sweetest/hilarious couples I've ever worked with. The Peddler Steakhouse Greenville Rehearsal Dinner

One of the things I love most about what I do is that it gets me out. Not like it gets me out of the house (I do that on my own most days), like it gets me out to see some really awesome places that I normally wouldn't go. Like going out to The Peddler Steakhouse here in Greenville, SC.

Tucked back in the woods up on the North Section of Greenville, the peddler is probably one of the coolest steakhouses I've ever been in (and I've been in a few because lets face it, steak is probably the best thing ever). Now its one thing to go out and have a steak by yourself. It's another thing to eat a steak with all of your best friends surrounding you. And that's just what Katie and Jerry did that special night before their wedding.
