Graffiti, Drugs, and Grime

A little while back I got a chance to go down to some of the darkest parts of Rochester, NY. My friend Mindy needed some pictures of Graffiti for a project she was doing, and I decided to help her out. Walking down the streets of Clinton Ave shortly after midnight, we were definitely out of our element. I shot quickly, making Mindy watch my back while I adjusted the tripod and settings.

In the 30 minutes we were on location, we witnessed more arrests and crime than I've ever seen before. We got our pictures and got out, thankfully with all our body parts and camera equipment. Here are the results:

  3. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the kind words. These shots are great-- very interesting subject matter and well captured. Some of that tagging is very elaborate- yet one more show of artistic expression finding its way to the surface.
