To even get offered a job in this economy is impressive if you ask me. I am extremely grateful to have an offer from a company that is doing great, is located in one of the best area's in the whole world, and gives their employees a lot of room for growth. Perhaps I can get some behind the wheel testing of some of the new tire designs as well!
Of course this does mean leaving the Rochester area, which on one hand will be sad, I've lived here the majority of my life and have a lot of friends and family in the area. On the other hand, I really hate the weather, the lack of jobs in the area, and the ever increasing taxes. It will be hard to uproot my business (which is doing exceptionally well!) and try to replant it down south. I'll still shoot a few weddings up here a year (hey its a free trip to visit my Friends and family) but I'm going to mainly focus on the Upstate South Carolina market.
The position starts in mid-june, so I'll still be in the area until then, but I'll be slowly transitioning down there after I graduate in May.
Congrats Josh! You should be really proud of yourself to land a great job in this economy! Looking forward to seeing what you shoot in S. Carolina!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the job! Let me know if you want to spend a weekend shooting the city before heading south . . .
