Alexa and Preston are getting married!
I don't know if its just luck or if I do a good job pre-screening people before I agree to shoot their weddings. Alexa and Preston are an awesome couple. After 7 years of dating they have finally agreed to marry their high school sweethearts. Preston's family has an awesome farm down in Simpsonville, SC just south of Greenville. It proved to be the perfect backdrop for their engagement session as I got some simply incredible shots. If you like fall colors, beautiful people, sunsets, and fresh peppers you're only a scroll away. Enjoy!

Kelly and Tony's Clemson Wedding Photos!
I really love when people try to do something unique for their wedding. After doing this for 5 years you would think I've seen it all. Kelly and Tony proved me wrong.
First of all, the entire thing was outside in this beautiful secluded spot in the woods north of Clemson, SC. Guests were escorted in on golf cards and ATV's. The reception was lit only by tiki torches, a giant bonfire, and lanterns (which made photography a challenge to say the least!). Also, Kelly had almost a quarter mile hike (and I mean hike!) through the woods before she got to walk down the isle.
I loved every minute of it.
Kelly and Tony are so down to earth, loving, and adventurous. It was awesome to take part in one of the best days of their lives with them. I immediately knew it would be a fun day after shooting their beautiful engagement session in downtown Greenville, SC a few weeks ago, but I had no clue it would be as awesome as it was. I'm sure the pictures will show it better!
I told you they were adventurous!

Kelly and Tony's Clemson Wedding Sneak Peak
I love trying new stuff out at every wedding I shoot. Whether its a new piece of camera gear, a new type of editing, or just a totally unique situation, I always try to take advantage. Kelly and Tony's wedding this past weekend gave me one of those opportunities.

I can't wait to post the rest from their awesome day soon!
During the reception all the guests were given sparklers. Sparklers are pretty cool in and of themselves but after a little while I decided we should have a little more fun with them. How about holding a heart drawing contest? I set up my camera on a tripod, set it to a 4 second exposure and we held competitions on who could make the best sparkler heart! Here is my favorite shot from the finalist round of the competition.

Wine making 102
Finally, my wine is done. After having lots of fun getting the wine setup it is finally all bottled and corked. I filled right around 27 bottles with fresh merlot. It took a little adjusting of the sugar content, and adding some oak chips to get the flavor right, but it was totally worth it. Here are some more pictures from the last of the adventure.

Look at that clarity!

You don't realize how many bottles of wine 27 is until you hand bottle everyone

I'm looking forward to starting a new batch soon. Perhaps a riesling?
