Downtown Spartanburg Bridal Portraits | Brooke's Bridals

I've never been kidnapped before on a photoshoot. Until this one. When I showed up to shoot Brooke's Bridals back in May I thought we were just going to wander around downtown Spartanburg, enjoy the awesome weather, and capture some stunning portraits of Brooke. Oh no. After a few photos by the Denny's tower I found myself, her mom, and Brooke, in an old minivan. Driving somewhere else... First stop, an old church, next stop a fountain next to a parking garage, then a graveyard, after that, some park I've never seen before.

It was all a blur but totally worth it. Brooke is an absolute blast to photograph and now that she's gotten married, I can show some of my favorites from our kidnapped adventure.

Punta Cana Bridal Portraits | Kristen's Bridals

Alright, I gotta admit, I was a tad bit excited when I heard Kristen was going to have her wedding in Punta Cana. After all just three months earlier it was Debra and I honeymooning just three resorts down the pristine beach that runs along the east shore of Dominican Republic. But now we were back, at an even better resort, stomachs filled to the brim with fresh mangoes and ready to shoot away.

Maybe its because she's a visionary, but Kristen knows how to freakin rock the camera. It's like she knows what looks good before I have to say anything. Or... maybe that was just the mimosa's at breakfast. Either way, we had an absolute blast running around the beach, dodging topless German women, and creating some stunning images.

Poinsett Club Bridal Portraits | Maggie

Maggie is probably one of the sweetest girls I've had the privilege to shoot in a long time. Not only is she super sweet but she could also double as a model. Take that and add in an awesome wedding dress, stunning bridal details, and set it all against the beautiful rooms of the Poinsett Club in Downtown Greenville and you've got one heck of a bridal portrait shoot! Sheer classic beauty!

USC Horseshoe Bridal Portraits | Kat's Columbia Bridals

I love getting out to new places to shoot. It gets me out of the day to day, stereotypical locations and into some places where I can expand my creativity. So naturally when Kat asked me to come shoot her Bridal portraits down on the USC Campus Horseshoe in Columbia, I was pretty pumped. Old trees, brick walk ways, and some interesting architecture always make things a bit easier, but the real star was Kat herself. Absolutely stunning and a blast to work with. Checkout some of my favorites!

The Acanthus Greenville Bridal Portraits | Chelsea

Chelsea is now married! Which is awesome because now I can finally post her bridal portraits we took back in April. We met up at The Acanthus just outside of Greenville (where they just got married this past weekend) to do them. Excellent weather and a beyond excellent subject always make things even better! Bridal portraits are always a bit bitter-sweet for me. I typically get home pumped and excited after the shoot, all ready to show them to the world only to... have to wait until after the actual wedding. Well I guess all the waiting makes it more exciting when I do get to finally post them.
