Outdoor Summer Wedding at Green River Plantation

Nikki and Aaron's wedding this past weekend at Green River Plantation confirmed for me that every single wedding I go to has SOMETHING unique about it. Even after attending weddings nearly every weekend for the past several years, I still had never heard anyone walk back down the isle to the Brady Bunch theme song. And thanks to them it's been stuck in my head for the past few days. Now to their credit it wasn't just a random song for them, they do actually have three kids each (and now 6 overall), so why not play off the theme a bit.

And of course the gorgeous Green River Plantation set the perfect backdrop to the whole wedding. Set on several acres on the edge of the NC mountains, the place is an absolute photography playground with several ponds, giant trees, and one of the oldest houses in the southeast. Green River Plantation Wedding | Brooke + TJ

Needless to say I'd been looking forward to Brooke and TJ's wedding at Green River Plantation for well over a year. These guys were such a blast to photograph during their engagement session and bridal portrait that I was really looking forward to seeing what they would pull out for their wedding.

I'm happy to say their wedding definitely didn't disappoint. Held at the gorgeous Green River Plantation just on the edge of the Mountains in Western, NC, it was definitely a photographer's heaven. Built in the early 1800's Green River Plantation sits back on several hundred acres of gorgeous landscaping including several ponds, huge old trees, and annoying geese. The day was made even better by one of the most hilarious bridal parties ever, some excellent karaoke (outside of the N'SYNC song that was sung), gorgeous weather, and the undeniable love that Brooke and TJ share. Congrats Brooke and TJ!
