Carnegie Hotel Johnson City Tennessee Wedding | Jen + Dan

Spring weddings are always some of my favorites. Maybe it's the warm weather, or the flowers blooming, or just the fact that winter is finally gone (woohooo!). Heck, I even decided to have my wedding at this same time last year because its just so awesome.

I think Jennifer and Dan think just like me. Same time of year, similar details, but a very different setting. They decided to have their wedding at the beautiful Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, Tennessee this past weekend. It was a day filled with some pretty hilarious moments (Indian Jones themed garter removal... need I say more), personalized details, and some awesomely gorgeous locations. It all set the perfect stage for two chemical engineers to make a lasting bond (ok that was a bad joke... yes I'm sticking to photography...) Nashville, TN Engagement Session | Whitney + Allen

Add this one to the list of proof that I get to work with some of the coolest people ever born.

When Whitney and Allen invited me out to Nashville, Tennessee to shoot their engagement session naturally I was pretty excited. I mean even though I really am not a big fan of country music, I'm a big fan of music in general, and I've heard awesome things about Nashville. I mean if you can create a full TV series based on one city, it's gotta have a lot of stuff to do right?

Three bottles of wine, one flat tire, and six locations later, I think we got to experience as much of the city as humanly possible in a 24-hour period. Downtown Honky Tonk Bars, a Giant Convention Center, the iconic city skyline, dozens of cowboy hat stores, a famous recording studio, a local winery, and one awesome pizza shop. Wow, what a weekend!



Starting off with a little vino... not a bad idea!
