I just love this time of the year. Winter has finally left, the flowers, colors, and textures all change from gray and dull to vibrant and fun. Here are a few spring pictures I took outside this weekend. Enjoy!
Thank you for your comment on my blog! I have been checking out your work - your photos are stunning! I'm glad to have discovered you and will be back to visit...
Your photo of the Magnolia blossom is remarkably dramatic and stunning! Great colors and composition. The Bokeh adds to the drama. If you don't mind a novice suggesting something, however? There is too much "space" at the top of the photo. My eye is drawn to the vacancy more than the blossom. Crop it back to where the last twig is apparent, enlarge it, then print it. Frame it in a lovely frame and hang it!
I absolutely LOVE Magnolia blossoms and that is a very striking photo! I can't wait until the flowers start blooming here. I am so done with winter! Also I want to break out my new macro lens!
I agree with you Iona that if I printed it I would crop it, there is just something about the blank space that I like though. Something about the blossom being drawn toward the sun. I also love how the lens flare landed right on the flower, it really made the picture special.
Hey, im thinking of getting a new lens. Well if i can find a used one. Not much money now after my trip abroad. I do a ton of landscapes so i was thinking a wide angle? what are your thoughts? Thanks
wow, beautiful photos!
