Spring has sprung!

I just love this time of the year. Winter has finally left, the flowers, colors, and textures all change from gray and dull to vibrant and fun. Here are a few spring pictures I took outside this weekend. Enjoy!

  2. Your photo of the Magnolia blossom is remarkably dramatic and stunning! Great colors and composition. The Bokeh adds to the drama. If you don't mind a novice suggesting something, however? There is too much "space" at the top of the photo. My eye is drawn to the vacancy more than the blossom. Crop it back to where the last twig is apparent, enlarge it, then print it. Frame it in a lovely frame and hang it!

  3. I absolutely LOVE Magnolia blossoms and that is a very striking photo! I can't wait until the flowers start blooming here. I am so done with winter! Also I want to break out my new macro lens!

  5. Thanks so much for the comments guys!

I agree with you Iona that if I printed it I would crop it, there is just something about the blank space that I like though. Something about the blossom being drawn toward the sun. I also love how the lens flare landed right on the flower, it really made the picture special.
