Heather + Jim | Engagement Shoot

I always enjoy getting to shoot engagement sessions. Especially when the couple wants to do some night photos as well. I just think it's such a great way to incorporate... something cool and unique looking to the everyday natural light pictures everyone does.

I met up with Heather and Jim last week to capture their engagement session in Downtown Greenville. After walking a pretty solid number of miles, and talking about everything from camera settings to possible honeymoon destinations, we created some gorgeous images. Thanks so much for having me guys! Falls Park Suspension Bridge Greenville Proposal Photography

I had been waiting in the public restroom outside of Overlook Grille for thirty minutes now. Where were they? Normally I'd assume they forgot about me, but I wasn't waiting around for just any session: Webb was going to propose to his girlfriend of three years on the bridge in falls park. Another fifteen minutes went by. Where the heck was he!? No text messages, no phone calls, no nothing. As soon as I got up to leave I just about hit him on the way out. Gotta hate traffic. By this time it was totally pitch black out so we had a slight change of plans to do the usually super-crowded suspension bridge. As they walked past what looked like just another stranger sitting on a bench, I picked up my camera and followed just behind...

Downtown Greenville Night Engagement Session | Laura + Adam

I've never quite figured out why everyone does their engagement photos during the day. I mean the lighting at night can be so much more... interesting! Not that shots during the day are boring but they definitely take on a totally different look when the sun sets. But with Laura and Adam, we did the best of both worlds, both. Plus they brought me up to their roof top pool (what! in Greenville??), which makes me want to be even better friends with them than I already am. Thanks again for having me guys!

Purples and Yellows | Jennifer and Dan's Engagement Shoot

One of the best things about Greenville is that even when it gets cold, there are always gorgeous colors around. Well at least in Falls Park, where we captured Jennifer and Dan's enagagement session late last week. Even though they were only in town from Tennessee for a few hours we definitely made the most of it. Running though the beautiful purples and yellows of falls park, frolicking in the middle of lavender bushes, and chasing the sunset down main street.
